Well, after work today, I took my poor laptop in to Southbank Computers here in east end Ottawa.  I've been to these folks before, and they're a pretty reliable place that also deal with a lot of Dell computers as well.

Monday morning.  The start of another work week.

It's been a busy day at work so far, much more so than I expected for this early in the week.  I don't know how this augurs for the rest of the week, but we'll see how things go.

My laptop has died with all data lost. system beeps four times, then message appears that there's no hard drive.

In the middle of all the other crap I'm dealing with today... and I feel like everything is out of control.  ::nervous breakdown::

My laptop died. Yes, my IBM Thinkpad 390 has died. I've had this laptop for around 10 years, and the laptop hasn't had a battery to make it really portable for a good four or five years. I've been running the laptop with OS/2 Warp on it since I first got it, as I don't use it for internet connections and the like - this is my writing computer, ( Read more... )
